Community Scholarship Programs

At Bethpage Federal Credit Union we believe that lifelong learning is an integral part of success The Heart of Bethpage is proud to support education on Long Island through a variety of scholarship opportunities. To learn about the different scholarships that we fund and how you can apply please read the descriptions below.

 

 

Bethpage Foundation Scholarship 2012

Please Note: The Bethpage Federal Credit Union Foundation Scholarship has been combined with the New York State Credit Union Association Scholarship program. Due to this the deadline for the Bethpage scholarship, previously in May will now be JANUARY 20, 2012.

There will be 10 scholarship winners who will each receive $1,000 towards their college education. All applicants must be affiliated with Bethpage Federal Credit Union, and should have a minimum overall average of 85% (3.0 GPA). All applications received will also be automatically entered into the Credit Union Association of New York scholarship contest.

All applications can be sent to Bethpage Federal Credit Union, attention Amber Hirsch at 899 South Oyster Bay Road, Bethpage NY 11714. All applications need to be received before January 20th 2012 to be considered.

Adelphi Endowed Scholarship
In addition to these two scholarships above, Bethpage Federal Credit Union offers a Endowed Scholarship at the Adelphi University for Long Island Students in need entering a Freshman Class at Adelphi University. Established in June 2004, the Bethpage Federal Credit Union Scholarship has been providing financial assistance to Long Islanders who enroll as freshman at Adelphi University, located in Garden City, New York. This scholarship is open to all entering freshman who demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to students who reside in Hempstead, Roosevelt, Bay Shore, Central Islip and Brentwood.
