Tracking Spending & Balance History

  1. Keep track of your spending and balance history with account analytics and spending reports.

    In the demo, you'll learn how to:

    • Categorize your transactions to track your spending
    • Search for specific transactions
    • View your balance and spending histories
  2. How to categorize your transactions to track your spending.

  3. Assigning categories to your transactions enables you to track your spending online. To get started, select an account under “My Accounts” on the “Dashboard”.
  4. From the Account “Transactions” screen, click “Add a category” under the transaction you want to edit. Some transactions may have automatically been assigned a category.
  5. Select the category you want the transaction to appear under on your spending analysis report. If you want to edit or add your own categories, click “Manage” at the bottom of the list.
  6. From “Manage Categories” you can “add category” or edit and delete existing ones.

    TIP: You can make categories “DISCRETIONARY” if they’re for expenses that are optional, like entertainment.
  7. The category will now be assigned to the transaction, allowing you to easily search for and track your spending.
  8. How to search for specific transactions.

  9. Click on the funnel icon to open the search panel. You can search your transactions by a variety of options, such as “Category” and/or “Date”. Enter your criteria and click the “Search” button.
  10. Your search results will appear. To narrow your search, enter more specific criteria. To broaden your search, enter less specific criteria.
  11. How to view your balance and spending histories.

  12. Click the “Analytics” tab to see your “Account Balance History”, which will show how your account balance has changed over time. Hover your mouse cursor over the chart to see details.
  13. Click the “Spending” button to see a “Spending Breakdown” of all transactions with assigned categories for the month. Hover your mouse cursor over the chart to see details.
  14. You can adjust the length of time for your report by clicking the “1 Month”, “3 Months” or “6 Months” buttons. To print a spending report of your current view, just click the printer icon.
  15. Now you know how to track your spending and see your balance history!
