To receive the bonus, you must open a Free Checking account and have a qualifying direct deposit of $250 or more made to this account within ninety (90) days of the new Free Checking account open date. A qualifying direct deposit is a recurring electronic deposit of a paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from an employer or the government. An initial qualifying direct deposit of $250 or more will result in a $250 bonus. Applicable bonus will be deposited to the new Free Checking account within two (2) business days following the initial qualifying direct deposit. New Free Checking account must remain open and in good standing up to and including the date applicable bonus is deposited to receive the bonus. Only one bonus will be awarded per primary account holder regardless of the number of accounts opened. Bonus is considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT. The primary account holder is responsible for any applicable taxes. Must be 21 or older to open a Free Checking account and a US citizen or permanent resident alien.
