Do I get my own debit card with my Student Checking Account?

Yes, you will receive a free Student Mastercard® Debit Card.

What should I do if I lose my debit card?

If your debit card is lost or stolen, contact Bethpage immediately.
• Inside the US: Call 866-820-2847.
• Outside the US: Call 516-349-6888.

Where can I find a surcharge-free ATM?

Bethpage is part of the CO-OP Shared Branch network, which allows you to access your money from 30,000 free ATMs nationwide. Many ATMs are conveniently located in local stores, like 7-Eleven and CVS. Just look for the CO-OP Network logo on participating ATMs or click here to find one near you.

What happens when a Bethpage Student Checking Account holder reaches the age of 18?

At the age of 18, a Student Checking Account will automatically convert to a Young Adult Checking Account. Unless the primary owner specifies otherwise, any existing joint owners will stay as joint owners on the new account. The account holder(s) will receive new account disclosures, as well as new debit card(s).

Can I utilize online and telephone banking with a Student Checking Account?

Online and telephone banking are available to children under the age of 18 with parental permission.

Does a Bethpage Student Checking Account have a minimum balance requirement and/or any monthly services fees?

A Bethpage checking account has no monthly service fees. There is also no minimum balance requirement to maintain the Student Checking Account.

Is a Bethpage Student Adult Checking Account insured?

Yes, all Bethpage Federal Credit Union deposit accounts are insured up to $250,000 through the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).

Is my child eligible for a Bethpage Student Checking Account?

Anyone between the ages of 15-17 is eligible to open a Bethpage Student Checking Account. Membership requires a $5 minimum share account.
