A message from the President.
Summer has arrived, and with it comes warm weather, longer days, and fun in the sun. I encourage you to get outside with your friends and family to enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer during these months.
As we look ahead to the fourth quarter, Bethpage has exciting plans in store. With a continued emphasis on convenience, we are constantly working to provide members with more ways to access our products and services. With that said, we are happy to expand our footprint later this year with a branch in Sunnyside, Queens. Bethpage will continue to grow our number of physical locations, with branches coming soon to Ozone Park and Forest Hills, New York, as well as Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This is just the start; there’s more to come in 2024! We look forward to enriching the lives of new members and communities with the products and services our existing members have grown to know and love.

Replacing our Youth and Young Adult Accounts, Bethpage’s new Student Accounts were designed with our members in mind, offering enhanced product features and benefits.
Our Student Checking for teens and young adults features no minimum balance requirements, no monthly maintenance fees, a Mastercard® Debit Card, and more. Our Student Savings Account for ages 20 and under boasts a competitive 5.00% APY[3] on balances up to $1,000, with no monthly maintenance fees and other great features. To celebrate these new accounts, you’ll receive a FREE Bethpage sling bag when you open a Bethpage Student Checking or Student Savings Account through September 1, 2023! In another step towards greater convenience and accessibility, we will soon introduce the Bethpage Mastercard® Contactless Debit and Credit Cards. The upgrade to contactless means a secure and faster way for our members to pay for everyday items while on the go. Learn more below.

Bethpage is headed to Queens and New Jersey!
We are happy to announce that Bethpage will be bringing our vision of enriching lives to new communities later this year by opening branches in Sunnyside and Ozone Park, New York, and Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Next year we will also be adding a branch in Forest Hills, New York.
To ensure we provide financial services that meet Sunnyside’s needs, Bethpage’s Business Development, Business Banking, and Community Development teams have begun building relationships with local businesses, community members, and neighborhood officials. With these relationships in place, Bethpage strives to provide best-in-class service for members and businesses while also making a difference in the lives of the community.
A little more about our Sunnyside location, the first of our Queens branches to open this year.
It will be conveniently located at 47-21 Queens Blvd and offer the following services:

With this comes a secure and convenient way to pay for everyday purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, your favorite coffee spot, and more. How do contactless payments work? It’s easy! Members will be able to Tap & Go to pay in three simple steps:
Look for the contactless symbol anywhere you shop.
Tap your Bethpage Mastercard at the top of the terminal when you’re ready to pay.
Mastercard doesn’t require a signature at checkout, but merchants may still request one.
Community updates
2023 VITA Program
Each year, Bethpage organizes the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) to provide free basic tax return preparation for low-to-moderate income families and individuals. We are happy to announce that the 20th annual Bethpage VITA program successfully prepared 787 tax returns this past tax season. Volunteers assisted individuals virtually through video and in-person appointments, and were able to help Long Island taxpayers receive a total of $793,734 in refunds.
Bethpage VITA has returned more than $29 million to date.
The IRS manages the VITA/TCE program. The program is operated and staffed by volunteers who are not tax professionals.

From 2009 through 2022, over 41,000 turkeys, 182,000 pounds of food, and more than $85,000 in monetary donations have been collected.
Join us for the 15th Annual Bethpage Turkey Drive! We will gratefully accept frozen turkeys, non-perishable food items, and monetary donations. These donations will go directly to Island Harvest, which will then help supply Thanksgiving meals to families in our community. For safety, we ask that you please remain in your vehicles, and keep all donations in your trunk so that our volunteers can easily and safely access them. Additionally, beginning in November, we will provide an option for online giving!
