About VITA

The Bethpage Vounter Income Tax Assistance program assits low-to-moderate income households (generally $55,000 and below) on Long Island to prepare their tax returns at no cost. Each year, our VITA program continues to grow in both number of volunteers  and the number of electronically filed returns. The Bethpage Community Development team and taxpayer assistant volunteers have served over 12,500 community members resulting in over $20.4 million in tax refunds to the Long Island economy.

Our relationship with local colleges and community organizations is essential to the success of the Bethpage VITA program. By providing voluteers who are seeking career paths in accounting, business, or finance, we can ensure VITA recipients are being advised with their best interests in mind. Supporting financial wellness during tax season strengthens our vision to enrich lives on Long Island!
